Founded in the year 2000, by Shihan Nixon Feliz and Shihan Jorge Decena.

The purpose of U.S.K.D.A:
To promote Traditional Shotokan Karate as taught by Master Funakoshi.
To develop great martial artists with good morals and strong convictions, achieved thru hard and dedicated training.
To teach a positive code of behavior and encourage growth and respect, contributing to society’s development.
To raise the technical level of all its members and affiliates.
To expand our affiliation with other clubs and educational groups.
Our affiliated members must be seeking a higher level of traditional excellence, maintaining the principles of Shotokan Karate-Do, without forgetting that we must learn from tradition as we brake those bonds to make new creations (shu ha ri), and that in order to learn the new, we must understand the old.

The future of our organization is bright and promising. We provide the opportunity for anyone, without any type of discrimination, to learn Karate-Do. We assist new members in understanding and training with the most advanced methods.
We are achieving those goals by linking Karate-Do with our current educational system, and also by interacting and providing professional seminars for the development of our members. For the past 25 years, we have attracted a large group of professionals to our training facilities. Professional parents are entrusting their children for us to teach them proper discipline, which supports the educational and legal systems. We are continually winning over the support and respect of many businessmen and women in our communities as we continue to share the values of Karate-Do. Our youth continue to develop themselves, and become well balanced, better educated individuals, excelling in other areas with the support of their Karate training.
We are forever totally committed to the development of traditional Karate-do.
